Gilbert Albert is a Swiss jewelry designer known for his innovative and artistic approach to jewelry design. Trained at the Geneva School of Industrial Arts, he began as a watch designer, working at Patek Philippe then Louis Cartier for whom he created the Cobra watch in 1958. Albert then turned to jewelry and opened his first workshop in 1962. Gilbert Albert's designs often feature bold, sculptural shapes, and he is known for using a wide range of materials, including precious and semi-precious stones, metals, and organic materials such as sea urchin skeletons, teeth shark and peacock feathers.
