Domed ring in 18kt yellow gold (eagle's head hallmark) adorned in its center with a beautiful star sapphire cabochon, the weight of which is estimated at approximately 7.00 Cts.
Sapphire accompanied by a Carat Gem Lab certificate, specifying the stone as natural, without thermal modifications, coming from Ceylon.
French work, Vintage.

Pattern height: 1,50 cm
Condition: slight micro scratches on the gold parts, natural inclusions and very slight abrasion of the sapphire crystal, see photos.
Star sapphire features a form of asterism. If you illuminate this type of sapphire with electric light, a 6-pointed star appears as if by magic!
This phenomenon is caused by the reflection of light on the natural inclusions (here rutile needles) of the cabochon-cut stone.
