Old medal pendant in solid 18-carat (750/1000) yellow gold, master goldsmith's diamond hallmark, signed 'Henry DROPSY'. French Art Nouveau work from the beginning of the XNUMXth century. Round in shape, it represents on the obverse the profile bust of Jeanne D'Arc with a halo, in armor, with the inscription "Jehanne d'Arc" on the left then "Patriae Beroma" on the right. On the reverse, a shield, a sword and a standard fluttering in the wind.
Henri Dropsy (1885-1969) is a French sculptor and medalist, graduated from the Paris School of Fine Arts. In 1908, he was awarded the second Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving. He brings into the creation of his works a concern for line, balance and proportions.
