Rare old medal pendant in solid silver, wild boar head hallmark. French work from the 1920s. Relief decoration on the Christmas theme. Adorned with a large five-pointed star containing the child Jesus with a halo and the double inscription 'NOEL' at the top. Textured background of clouds in the lower part and rays in the upper part.
Engraved on the back 'Marcel Chaligne' and signed by the famous French jewelry house 'MELLERIO DITS MELLER 9. R. PAIX', founded in 1613, and still in business today. The workshop is located above the historic boutique at 9 rue de la Paix in Paris.
