Important antique pendant medal in solid yellow gold 18 carats 750 thousandths, eagle's head hallmark. Signed 'DROPSY' for renowned engraver Emile Dropsy (1848-1923).
French Art Nouveau work.
Oblong in shape, it is finely engraved with a beautiful relief of the bust of the Virgin Mary with crossed hands, in a radiant gold entourage. Embellished with a garland of roses in the upper part and in the lower part. Engraved on the reverse with a beautiful monogram 'OE' accompanied by the date "April 26, 1925".
