Citrine is a cousin of amethyst which is generally found in the same deposits, it happens that they are found in the same two-tone crystal which is called ametrine. 

Citrine takes its name from the Latin “citrus” meaning lemon and is often characterized by its beautiful yellow color.

A coveted stone, there are deposits in Brazil, Australia, Madagascar, Uruguay and even Spain. This stone is at 7 on the Mohs scale, which makes it a very resistant fine stone.

This stone of the quartz family consists mainly of silicon dioxide.
