What is the price of a used Juste un clou de Cartier?

Jewelry lovers Just a Clou de Cartier, don't miss the slightest opportunity to buy second-hand! Indeed, among the iconic models of Cartier, This one is the one we find least among the second-hand offerings. Unlike the Trinity collection ou Love, this collection was in fact less produced before its revival in the years 2000-2010.

Here are the few sales opportunities listed in recent years: 

The all-gold Juste un Clou bracelet sold on average for €5500 over the 2022-24 period, and can currently be found on sale for €7500 (compared to €9250 new). 

The price observed for a Juste un Clou bracelet paved with diamonds was on average €8975 over the period observed.
The all-gold Juste un Clou ring sold on average for €1500, rising steadily until today when we found it on sale for €2160 (compared to €2880 new), the one paved with diamonds on average for €3,350 and currently at €3500 (compared to €4800 new).

These prices reflect an increase in their value between 2022 and 2024 which oscillates between 30% and 65% depending on the model.

The Juste un Clou collection, from 1971 to the present day

We owe the Juste un Clou de Cartier jewel to jeweler Aldo Cipullo, the designer who also designed the Love bracelet in 1969.

In the same inspiring vein of the latter, Aldo Cipullo takes everyday objects, twists them, and a simple nail is transformed into precious jewelry. Echoing this period which overturns the codes, advocating a “radical change which must take place in the field of jewelry”, this design entitled Nail is in tune with the times.

The success of the Love bracelet, however, eclipses this bracelet which stopped being manufactured in the 80s.

In 2012, Cartier paid tribute to the designer through the exhibition Cartier & Aldo Cipullo, New York City in the 70s, and relaunched the Juste un clou collection, inspired by Nail. Simple but technical, whether in a small or large model, in a bracelet or in a ring, the design remains pure, suitable for both women and men and the collection, worked in three golds (yellow, pink, white) with or without diamonds .

At its launch in 2012, prices were between €1790 and €28700.
