The Art Deco movement, short for “Decorative Arts”, was born around 1910. It reached its peak in the 20s and then declined in the 30s. In reaction to the rounded and organic forms of Art Nouveau, this “Roaring Twenties” style ”Develops geometric and refined shapes.
We recognize this artistic movement on this engagement ring thanks to the different geometric shapes that dress the plate with multiple details.
Considered a sacred stone in Buddhism, sapphire takes its name from the Hebrew sappir (the most beautiful thing). The most beautiful, deep royal blue, come from Sri Lanka.
