Delicate “marquise” type gold and platinum ring, inspired by the 18th century, with a shuttle bezel adorned in the center with a very pretty fine “button” shaped pearl (6 mm diam.), accompanied by 2 magnificent sapphires of deep blue and small brilliants and lined with a line of old-cut diamonds. Shiny shoulders. Inside the ring is the jeweler's inventory number (172-83) and an engraved date: April 29, 1912, an important date (engagement, birth of a child, birthday?) for a woman of our past who, in his present, received this ring from a man who loved him.
