Solitaire ring in 18 karat (750 thousandths) yellow gold centered with a Perruzi-cut diamond weighing 0,20 carat, in a tourbillon claw setting. French work of the 20th century.
Eagle's head hallmark. Illegible silversmith's mark.
At the end of the 17th century, Vincenzo PERUZZI invented diamond cutting at 58 facettes. Named the "Peruzzi cut", it is similar to the brilliant cut by its number of facets and by its proportions.
