Vintage jewelry: the big trend of 2024

From our 2024 Second-Hand Jewelry Trends Report, here are the jewelry shopping and search trends we observed.

Branded jewelry benefit from a strong reputation and great prestige among the general public, they attract consumers in search of distinctive design and status.

However, they only represent about a quarter of the final choice of our consumers (but 40% in value), reflecting the offer of jewelry, which is in similar proportions between the signed of major brands and the unsigned.
So, vintage jewelry* attract a wide audience through their quality, old-world charm and price, the signature of a major house obviously creating an additional cost.
*the term vintage here defines all second-hand, unsigned jewelry and not a specific period (the term therefore includes antique, vintage or contemporary second-hand jewelry, signed or not).

The Art Deco style

The Art Deco style remains the most sought-after style within our vintage jewelry-loving community. Its enduring popularity is a testament to the timelessness of their line and their ability to evoke the refined and elegant spirit of the 1920s and 1930s.

The Marguerite ring

It passes from generation to generation, and is the most popular engagement ring : the daisy or Pompadour ring is the most requested for this occasion. The choice of the center stone often remains crucial, and the eternal diamond and the blue of the sapphire are sure values.

The Tank ring

A style that is recognizable among all. Demand continues to grow on the tank rings since the beginning of the year. A sign of personality affirmation, the Tank ring illustrates the current, more general appeal of imposing jewelry.

All gold

With a little 90s feel, all gold jewelry are taking an increasing place in the heart of our community. With gold price forecasts still on the rise, the appeal continues, a sign of a safe haven trend.

The cameo

In its most qualitative version, the cameo on agate is more sought after, a sign that vintage jewelry lovers no longer consider the cameo as simply typical of vintage but now appreciate it quality, subtlety of materials and historical know-how.

The pearl necklace

The little extra of vintage pearls ? Vintage clasps, very elaborate with diamonds, rubies or other stones which enhance the whole. The trend revisits the wearing of pearls and modernizes them : they become a breeding ground for originality and difference.
